Why isn’t the backend open?
Same model as Proton: open clients, managed closed cloud core. The part that runs on your visitors’ browsers — the part privacy actually turns on — is fully auditable. The backend stays closed so one small team can run it well. If that’s a dealbreaker, Plausible and Umami are self-hostable and genuinely good.
What do you get out of it?
Permission to show your project’s name and logo as a Pulse user, and honest usage that hardens the product. A testimonial only if the product earns one — never a condition.
What if we outgrow 100k pageviews?
Tell us. The limit is set per grant and gets raised for real projects — outgrowing it is the kind of problem we like.
Can the plan be taken away?
It runs for as long as the project qualifies. If a project goes closed or dormant, we talk first — and leaving takes an export, not a negotiation.
